Hephzibah Adeosun appointed as Chair of the Board of Trustees

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Hephzibah Adeosun as Chair of the Board of Trustees, with effect from December 2022.

Hephzi has been a trustee since April 2021, and her appointment follows four years of dedication in the role from Professor Sir John Holman.

An Associate at Clifford Chance LLP, Hephzi holds a BA in Law and Management from the University of Cambridge and a Masters in Commercial Legal Practice. She is on the steering committee of Clifford Chance's BAME network, and an inclusion advocate at the firm. She was Head of Outreach for the Widening Access Network and selected as a McKinsey Next Generation Women Leader in 2020.

While at Cambridge, she was access officer at Gonville and Caius College and pioneered the college’s inaugural BAME conference - to encourage students from underrepresented groups to apply to the university. She is also a committed athlete and manages a team of athletes that will compete in the US Transatlantic Athletics Series, involving Oxbridge and four Ivy League universities in 2023.

Hephzi commented, “it is an honour to be appointed to this role, at a time when the impact of the Bridge Group has never been more vital. In collaboration with my fellow trustees, the Board will continue to provide challenge, support and advice to realise the great ambitions of the Charity, and deliver progressive change across sectors”.

Sir John Holman added: “The Charity has grown significantly during my time as chair. It has also been a time of great change, including navigating the storm of the pandemic; but also of great stability as the leadership of the Bridge Group have steered the organisation with great success. Together, we have built an even stronger team and Board of trustees and the next chapter, with Hephzi as chair, promises continued growth, and a continuation of the rigour and pragmatism that characterises all we do”.

Bridge Group Chief Executive, Nik Miller, commented: “The wonderful breadth and diversity of trustees’ knowledge, and the shared sense of purpose, is the foundation of the Charity’s success. We thank John for his expertise and leadership, and greatly look forward to working even more closely with Hephzi”.
