Why donate to the Bridge Group?
Social equality matters, yet the link between background and educational or employment outcomes is stronger in the UK than most developed countries, dividing our society and hindering productivity. Find out more about why our work is necessary.
We’ve been around for ten years, as a direct response of the worryingly slow progress in tackling inequality, and have already driven change across many sectors.
Our vision is simple. We work every day to advance a more equal higher education system and labour market - where outcomes are determined by competence and hard work, and not by social background.
Our distinctive approach allows us to make real and meaningful change, now. Our evidence-driven work is with organisations of all types, all sizes and at all stages across the public, private and third sectors.
Demonstrable impact has featured throughout our first decade, which is documented in our latest impact report: Making social equality a reality.
It’s critical now that we increase the pace and impact of our work. Philanthropic support will enable us to have increased flexibility to tackle systemic, broader issues - working across sectors and organisations with multiple stakeholders to pursue complex solutions.
Please give a gift to support the long-term future of the charity by investing in the talent of our team and core costs, or fund one of our specific programmes of research and action, as detailed in the next section.
Research questions we want to answer
As a small, independent charity, commissions from clients comprise most of our income. However, only some of our clients are able to publish the reports we prepare for them, a process which enables other organisations to benefit from our work.
Donations and grants mean we can pursue research projects of wider relevance and publish the findings in reports accessible to everyone. We are currently looking for financial support for several research questions, including the three proposals below. Click on one of the images to find out more.
If you are interested in making a donation or funding any of the projects below, please click on the donation button at the top of the page or contact enquiries@the-bridgegroup.co.uk
