Socio-economic diversity in television
30 November 2020, 11am-12:30pm online discussion
In collaboration with broadcasting organisations, the Bridge Group hosted an industry wide seminar to continue to explore how socio-economic background affects access to and progression in television, with a focus on what happens behind the camera.
This was a unique opportunity to hear the latest evidence from across the sector, and to learn from and share effective practices. Dr Sam Friedman delivered the headline opening and then Nik Miller, Chief Executive at the Bridge Group chaired a panel with Babita Bahal (Channel 4), Mark Herbert (Warp Films), Andrew Young (BBC), and Jane Muirhead (MD, Raise the Roof).
